The person behind the work

Hey 👋 I’m Rachael

Rachael Peri (NZ Māori - Ngāti Awa, Tūhoe) is the founder of GroundWork. A studio dedicated to helping wellbeing and creative practitioners build a digital presence and operational foundations that help them grow and thrive.

After 8+ years in web development and design, a stint road tripping up the east coast of Australia, and a detour through a government communications role that taught her a lot about herself, she came back to what she'd always known, that her real work was helping purpose-driven people translate their mission and values into a tangible, thriving business.

That's what GroundWork is. Not just websites and systems, but the work of truly seeing someone and helping them articulate their vision clearly.

Rachael is based between Naarm (Melbourne) and Bali. She lives intentionally and unapologetically on her own path, which at any given moment might involve natural wine, a dinner party, a DJ set, an ice bath, or nerding out on a podcast about something spiritual, strange or genuinely silly.

She's also a Virgo, which means your systems will be immaculate.

What makes her different

Most people who build websites come from tech. Rachael comes from both sides, the technical and the deeply human. She has an unusual ability to sit with someone's vision, untangle it, and translate it into something clear… often before they can articulate it themselves.
